The
gentleman in the white flannels is T. W. McCawley, a thirty-four-year-old
physical educator from Aberdeen.
The man in the background is electrician William Parr, of Harland
and Wolff. He was travelling first-class for the maiden voyage. At
the time the photograph was taken he may have been checking the electrically
driven "camel", which received quite a workout from people
touring the ship at Southampton.
Both men were lost in the disaster.
